"Köln" responded quickly to this and in the tenth minute, Marius Bülter equalized the score with an assist from Tom Kraus.

However, "Heidenheim" went to the break with an advantage. In the 28th minute, Ariyon Ibrahimovic scored, putting his team ahead again. In the 72nd minute, Schöppner scored his second goal, determining the final result of the match.

After this victory, "Heidenheim" increased its score to 26 and rose from the last place to 17th place. "Köln" remained in 14th place with 32 points.
