The new stadium planned for construction for the Bucharest "Dinamo" football club will bear the name of world-renowned coach Mircea Lucescu, who passed away a few days ago.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Mediafax" that the arena will be named "Dinamo Mircea Lucescu" as a sign of respect for the memory of the specialist who died at the age of 80.
Lucescu has had exceptional services in the club's history both as a player and as a coach. He wore the uniform of this team from 1963-1977, and served as head coach from 1985-1990.
