UFC President Dana White has promised that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to Ireland within the next 10 years.
Sport.Biz reports that the last UFC event in Ireland was UFC Fight Night 76, held in Dublin in 2015. The main event featured local fighter Paddy Holohan against Luis Smolka.
"Yes, 100%, it will happen within the next 10 years. We will return to Ireland. Let's see what happens next weekend", - White said in a live broadcast on Nina Drama's Kick channel. He referred to the upcoming fight between 34-year-old UFC lightweight champion Russian Islam Makhachev and Irishman Ian Garry, ranked number one in the ratings, at UFC 330 in Philadelphia, USA.
