Tufan Sadigov, the former investor of the Russian football club Khimki, has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the Russian Football Union's (RFU) decision to ban him from football for life.
Sport.Biz reports, citing the official CAS website, that the hearing will take place on October 14 this year.
In the 2024/2025 season, Khimki finished 12th in the Russian Premier League table, securing their place in the top division. However, the club was unable to obtain a license for the new season. In the spring of 2025, the players and club employees complained about wage arrears and even threatened to boycott the games.
Sadigov was banned from any football-related activity for life on November 7, 2025.
