Lazio's left-back Nuno Tavares is close to leaving the club in the winter transfer window. Sport24.az reports that the Portuguese player is not in head coach Maurizio Sarri's plans and is looking for a new team. Although it was initially reported that an agreement had been reached with Al-Ittihad, led by Sergio Conceição, according to recent reports, this option has receded into the background.
It is emphasized that the main serious offer for Tavares currently comes from Besiktas. Although the Istanbul club is close to an agreement with Lazio, the parties have not yet been able to reach a common position regarding the mandatory purchase option of 10 million euros.
It is noted that if Tavares' departure materializes, Lazio plans to transfer Alfonso Pedraza from Villarreal to strengthen the left flank.
