Former Barcelona and Spain defender Carles Puyol has come under fire on social media for attending an event for "lost, devastated, and alienated men."
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the event, presented by the Fearless Masculinity organization, took place last weekend in Mexico.
Other participants included American actor Christopher West and Mexican actor Eduardo Verastegui. According to "Cadena SER," the event has already been condemned by approximately 140 feminist organizations.
Puyol's lecture is posted on the Fearless Masculinity website under the title "My Story: Struggle, Purpose, and Victory." The event organizers describe Puyol as a "football legend" who "demonstrates character when it matters most."

"Both on and off the field, he embodies a strong and humble masculinity, demonstrating that true greatness is built on loyalty, dedication, and consistency," the website description reads.
The organization also provides information about various camps, conferences, and retreats they offer to men aged 18-99 who are "seeking healing, meaning, and connection."
Fearless Masculinity claims that their events are based on religious principles.
