"Barcelona" has verbally agreed on the terms of a new labor contract with midfielder Fermin Lopez.
Idman.Biz reports, citing famous journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano, that the player's new contract with the club will last until the summer of 2031.
According to the source, the player refused to leave the Catalan club in August. As part of the new contract, his salary will double.
The "La Vanguardia" publication adds that the midfielder's release clause will also double.
"Blaugrana" will announce a new contract with Lopez after the Champions League match against Copenhagen on January 28.
Fermin Lopez is a graduate of "Barcelona". He joined the Catalan club at the age of 13 from the Betis academy. According to media reports, the Spanish footballer's current contract runs until the summer of 2029.
"Blaugrana" leads the La Liga standings with 52 points.
