"Barcelona" has verbally agreed to the terms of a new employment contract with midfielder Fermin Lopez.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to well-known journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano that the player's new contract with the club will last until the summer of 2031.
According to the source, in August the player refused to leave the Catalan club. Under the new contract, his salary will double.
The La Vanguardia publication adds that the midfielder's vacation pay will also double.
"Blaugrana" will announce the new contract with Lopez on January 28, after the Champions League match against Copenhagen.
Fermin Lopez is a graduate of "Barcelona". He joined the Catalan club at the age of 13 from the Betis academy. According to media reports, the Spanish footballer's current contract is valid until the summer of 2029.
"Blaugrana" leads the La Liga standings with 52 points.
