The Azerbaijani national team will play its second match today in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the national team is hosting Ukraine "within its own walls".
Fernandu Santos, the head coach of the national team, who lost heavily (0:5) to Iceland away in the first match of the qualifying round, was dismissed yesterday. Therefore, the team will take the field today under the leadership of Aykhan Abbasov, the head coach of U-21.
It should be noted that the starting whistle of the game will sound at 20:00.
