The Azerbaijan national team, consisting of football players under 18, played its first match in the International Development Tournament.
Idman.Biz reports that the team lost 1:7 to the Russian team of the corresponding age group in Group B.
Nijat Karimov scored the goal for the Azerbaijani team in the 58th minute from a penalty.
The match was held at the training ground of the local football federation in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Note that the Azerbaijani national team will face Uzbekistan on February 20 and Belarus on February 21.
