Azerbaijan's national team will play its second match in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup today. Sport24.az reports that the team is hosting Ukraine within its "native walls".
Fernandu Santos, the head coach of the national team, who lost heavily (0:5) to Iceland in the first match of the qualifying round, was dismissed yesterday. Therefore, the team will take to the field today under the leadership of Aykhan Abbasov, the head coach of the U-21 team.
It should be noted that the starting whistle of the game will sound at 20:00.
