The Azerbaijan national team will play its second match in the qualifying round of WC-2026 today. Sport24.az reports that the team is hosting Ukraine within "native walls".
Fernandu Santos, the head coach of the national team, who lost to Iceland with a big score (0:5) in the first match of the qualifying round, was dismissed yesterday. Therefore, the team will take the field today under the leadership of Aykhan Abbasov, the head coach of U-21.
Note that the starting whistle of the game will sound at 20:00.
