The Azerbaijan Cup final will be the third decisive match to be held at the Mehdi Huseynzade Sumgayit City Stadium.

The first such match was organized in 1994. In the final of the 1993/94 season, "Kapaz" defeated "Khazar" of Lankaran. Seven years later, the final was held again in Sumgayit. This time, "Shafa" defeated "Neftchi."
In total, 8 arenas have hosted the decisive games of the cup. The Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium hosted more - 18 finals. By hosting the final for the third time, Sumgayit will reach the Gabala City Stadium. The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Stadium and "Liv Bona Dea Arena" hosted the decisive matches twice. "ASK Arena", "Bank Respublika Arena" and "Neftchi Arena" hosted the final match only once.
