Azer Bagirov Criticized "So-Called" Fans

After the XXX round of the Misli Premier League match "Kapaz" - "Sumgayit" (2:1), the head coach of the home team, Azer Bagirov, answered journalists' questions. Sport24.az reports that the expert first shared his thoughts on the meeting:

– It was an interesting game. The match could have started well for us, but we couldn't score. We concede strange goals. I thank each of the players for gathering and making a comeback. I thank our fans - they are always with us. There are also so-called fans who look for a thousand and one excuses even when we win. Effort is not appreciated.

– There was talk that if you lost, resignation slogans would be shouted…

– No. Real "Kapaz" fans know what situation Azer Bagirov took the team in. There were no points, we had a shortage of legionnaires. We only transferred one foreigner, and Jefferson didn't leave because of Azer's mistake. We continued our path with young players. It is not important to me that some fan shouts "resignation".

– What was the reason for the 4 consecutive defeats?

– Our team doesn't have reserve strength. When one player is injured, we have to change three positions at the same time. Real fans see these things. But there are so-called fans who are looking for excuses to "hit" Azer.

– It has been clarified that you will not be last. Now we need to avoid falling into the playoffs…

– We have been a "headache" for the teams we face in the league. We don't look at who is in what place in the tournament table. If we don't concede goals from minor mistakes, our victories will come. I believe that with the support of the fans, we will be better.

– Can the goal you conceded be called bad luck, or a goalkeeper error?

– There was a ricochet, but the important thing is that Yusif is in goal today and gives confidence to the players. He insures mistakes in some moments.

– Your opposing colleague said that there was no penalty in your first goal. What do you think?

– It wouldn't be right to say otherwise. If we look at the Champions League and look at the penalties there, we will find answers to many questions ourselves.
