Aysu Asadova, the midfielder of Azerbaijan's U-19 women's national football team and defender of "Sabah," has been penalized by UEFA.
Idman.Biz reports that UEFA's Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Committee has made a decision regarding the Azerbaijan-Georgia match held on April 17, 2026. The decision states that Aysu Asadova attacked an opposing player.
Based on Article 15(1)(e) DR of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, the footballer has been suspended for three matches in UEFA competitions between national teams.

It is worth remembering that the match in question took place within the qualifying round of the European Championship among women under 19 years old. The Azerbaijani national team lost to Georgia with a score of 1:4. It is also indicated on UEFA's match page that Asadova received a red card.
Aysu Asadova has played six games at the national level and has been on the field for a total of 501 minutes. She has two yellow cards and one red card to her name. In the 2024/2025 season, she was selected as the "best player of the season" by AFFA in the U-17 Girls League.
