Madrid's "Atletico" will not activate the transfer option for "Juventus" striker Nico Gonzalez at the end of the season. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by AS.
The Argentine striker is currently playing for the Madrid club on loan. Nico will be out of action for three weeks due to injury. Therefore, Gonzalez will not be able to participate in the required number of matches for the contract to automatically come into force.
According to the source, however, the Madrid team wants to keep the striker in the camp. "Atletico" plans to re-lease the Argentine player at a lower price. Negotiations are currently underway between the clubs in this direction.
It should be noted that Gonzalez has played 37 matches in all tournaments for Atletico this season and scored 5 goals.
