His debut as the coach of the new team will take place on August 14, when the new season of the Maltese championship begins.
Note that during his playing career, Marco Amelia played for the clubs "Livorno", "Lecce", "Parma", "Palermo", "Genoa", "Milan", "Chelsea", "Perugia" and "Vicenza". He became a world champion with the Italian national team in 2006.
