Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has said that the current season is the most difficult season of his coaching career.
According to Idman.Biz, after 25 rounds, Liverpool is in sixth place in the Premier League standings with 39 points.
"You could say it's been the toughest season of my career. All the other seasons I've coached have been more positive; I don't think I've ever lost two games in a row. This season is an exception for both me and the players; they are not used to losing or drawing often. I'm not used to it either.
It's always hard to get them to play again after a loss, and after a win, to tell them we're not as good as they think, so this season has been harder for me. There are some positives to take out of it, although that might sound strange. I see how much we've improved. As a coach, I always work for results, but it's also important for the players and the team to develop, because otherwise we'll have more problems.
In my opinion, with the exception of the injured, all the players are already able to play every three days with the intensity required in this club and in the Premier League. As a result, we started playing better than at the beginning of the season. I'm talking about the period when we started playing twice as much, not the first six games. In the first six rounds, we only played two games a week; after we started playing twice as much, we started losing a lot of points," Slot told the BBC.
