Antonio Conte, the head coach of the Italian football team "Napoli", has answered questions about his future with the Neapolitan club. He commented on the rumors circulating about the specialist, whose current contract runs until the summer of 2027.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio's website that Conte said he is in favor of focusing only on the team until the end of the season. He emphasized that he considers the frequent mention of his name in various discussions as part of football.
"Will I leave Napoli? People talk, and I let them. Sometimes what I say is misunderstood and interpreted differently. In my opinion, the quieter we are, at least until the end of the season, the better it is for everyone. We can talk behind the scenes about the extension, but now, as a sign of respect for the fans, we must give all our attention to the team," said the specialist.
The head coach also touched on the comments of club president Aurelio De Laurentis:
"The president can say what he wants, that's his problem. I'm not going to answer him. If I have something to say, I'll do it in a private conversation, without making a fuss in public."
It should be noted that "Napoli" is currently in second place in the Italian Serie A standings with 66 points.
