Newcastle United player Anthony Elanga has admitted that he is impressed by "Qarabag"'s performance in the UEFA Champions League.
Idman.Biz reports that he said he paid special attention to the Aghdam club's matches against Chelsea and Copenhagen.
"Qarabag" is an extraordinary team. We understand that the game will be difficult. There are no weak opponents in the Champions League. But we are careful and well prepared," Elanga said.
Answering a journalist's question about whether he has already played against the Azerbaijan national team and whether this experience can give him an advantage, the player emphasized that each match is unique.
"Well, yes, well, no. Every game is different. I have played against Azerbaijan twice - both here and in Sweden. Of course, I know Baku a little better than the other players. But everything is different on the field. The most important thing is what you do with the ball. Now our goal is to go as far as possible in the Champions League," Elanga said.
