İdman.biz, referring to Sportnet.az, reports that this was stated by Andriy Shevchenko, the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, who is on a visit to Baku, at the opening ceremony of the football field built at school No. 247 within the framework of the "FIFA Arena" project.
The legendary football player stated that the beautiful field created here is also a source of joy for him: "This stadium is a unique opportunity for the children of Baku. I believe that this stadium will have a very positive impact on children."
Expressing his gratitude to the Azerbaijani people, AFFA, the Ministry of Science and Education, Shevchenko noted that this initiative was realized with the support of FIFA President Gianni Infantino and is very important for the future of children's football: "When I was growing up outside of Kyiv, I always dreamed of a better football field. Today, a unique opportunity has been created for the children of Baku. Azerbaijan is a beautiful and impressive country. This is my first time here and I have a very pleasant impression. Football education and education in general are important for the younger generation. This project is important for children. The field will play an important role in children's sports and life education."
