15-year-old Ali Bashirov is considered one of the most promising players in Azerbaijani football. He is a member of the Azerbaijan national team and a player of the U-17 team of "Qarabağ". The head coach of the club, Gurban Gurbanov, has repeatedly invited Bashirov to the training sessions and training camps of the main team.
Bashirov has been a fan of "Real Madrid" since childhood, and his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo.
"My biggest dream is to wear the uniform of this club one day and play an official game in its squad," Ali Bashirov said in an interview with Idman.Biz.
His sports journey began when his father took Ali to the football section. According to the young player, he was the best football player there and at the age of seven he was invited to a review at the "Qarabağ" academy, where he was also accepted. He started training with children a year older than himself.
Currently, Ali Bashirov has risen to such a level that Gurban Gurbanov invites him to the training sessions of the main team. He remembers how it happened for the first time like this: "We had a game that day. I returned home and unexpectedly received a call from the head coach that I would train with the main team tomorrow. I was very happy, because it was a great honor for me to gain this experience at such a young age. I was a little nervous during training, but the coaching staff encouraged me. Then gradually there was comfort and self-confidence. From the first day, both the players and the staff of "Qarabağ" were very kind to me."
Bashirov believes that Gurban Gurbanov paid attention to him because he takes training and games seriously and accurately fulfills the tasks assigned to him.
"I can't say what the coaches think about me. They know it better. I will just continue to do my best and do my job well," the football player added.
Ali Bashirov also spoke about the situation of the Aghdam club in the Azerbaijan Premier League: "The championship is still going on. As both a fan and a player of "Qarabağ", I believe that in the end our team will achieve its goal."
Bashirov also confirmed the information about receiving an invitation to a review to the "Strasbourg" (France) club. "This offer came to the club and my family through managers who watched my games. I thank "Qarabağ" for taking a positive approach to this and allowing me to go to France for a review." Bashirov added that he will talk about the details of a possible transition after the trip takes place.
The young football player noted that although he is focused on the development of his football career, he also takes education seriously and studies well. He is interested in technical subjects and plans to specialize in this field in the future. Outside of football, he likes to read books, play chess and table tennis.
