"On March 31, the Turkish national team qualified for the football World Cup again after 24 years as a result of their victory over Kosovo. We sincerely congratulate brotherly Turkey on this historic event."
İdman.Biz reports that these words were said by Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice-Presidents of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku.
"At the same time, Uzbekistan's qualification for the World Cup for the first time in its history is a source of special pride and joy. Brotherly Uzbekistan achieved this historic achievement back in June last year. Both successes can be assessed as a victory for the Turkic world as a whole.
These victories clearly reflect the rise of the Turkic peoples in all fields," the Prime Minister emphasized.
