AFFA is taking measures to eliminate referee errors in the matches of the Misli Premier League. Sport24.az reports that this was stated by the president of the national association, Rovshan Najaf, at a press conference.
"We are taking measures to eliminate referee errors. Work is underway to reduce them. There are no games without errors. The main goal of the reforms is to ensure that decisions are as accurate as possible," said R. Najaf.
He shared his views on the prospects of the national team:
"I hope that our national team will also be in the final stage of major championships. It is very gratifying to see the teams showing determination. Development is underway. This is also a positive thing for the fans."
According to R. Najaf, each club regularly submits a report on the use of the allocated funds:
"AFFA monitors the use of these funds. As we noted in our report, the development of children's football and the effective operation of academies are our priority. We are in constant dialogue with clubs in this direction. If you have any information about the misuse of funds, please let us know, we would be grateful. Our main goal is to ensure transparency."
The President also touched upon the main points provided for in the development strategy:
"Holding the national championship at a high level, the success of "Qarabag" and our other clubs in European arenas, the transfer of our football players to foreign leagues, as well as the development of women's and school football are the main components of our strategy."
Emphasizing that the infrastructure issue is the most difficult area, the AFFA head noted that large investments are needed in this area:
"Infrastructure is currently one of the most vulnerable areas. A lot of money is needed to completely renew it. We are currently working on attracting sponsors, increasing the income of clubs and properly managing funds from international organizations. Our strategy gives special priority to clubs earning additional funds and improving infrastructure. We are trying to solve these problems by making maximum use of existing funds."
It should be noted that the AFFA Reporting Conference was held today.
