The draw for the 2025/2026 season of the Higher Women's League organized under the flag of AFFA has been held.
Idman.biz reports that at the draw ceremony held in the administrative building of AFFA, the General Secretary of AFFA, Jahangir Farajullayev, first spoke and wished success to the teams participating in the tournament.
Then, Zumrud Agayeva, the head of the AFFA Women's Football Department, provided information about the championship regulations. The number of teams in the AFFA Higher Women's League has doubled compared to the previous season. Thus, the championship, which will be organized with the participation of 12 teams, will consist of two rounds - a round-robin system based on the home-away principle.
The first round matches of the AFFA Higher Women's League will be held on October 9-12.
