In accordance with AFFA's child football development strategy, a review of the academies of the capital clubs was conducted within the framework of the "Needs Analysis and Support for Academy Development" process. Sport24.az reports that within the framework of the project, the current situation, teaching methodology and infrastructure capabilities of the "Sabah", "Qarabağ" and "Neftçi" academies were closely monitored.
As a result of the meetings held, it is expected that the following innovations will be applied in the activities of the academies in the near future:
- Full adaptation of existing training processes to international standards and transition to player-oriented development methodology;
- Ensuring the methodological consistency of the transition stages from small age groups to the main team;
- Building the transition process from academy to professional footballer stage on a more systematic and measurable criteria;
- Clarification of the division of roles in the academies and application of new structural approaches for more effective use of personnel potential.
The extensive analyzes carried out will form the basis of the new Academy Standards to be implemented in the near future.
