Thus, the Azerbaijani grandmaster has collected six points and is in third place in the tournament table. He is behind the leaders – Markandriya Maurizzi from France and Andy Woodward from the USA, who each have 6.5 points.
January 26, Monday, will be a rest day at the tournament in Wijk aan Zee. On Tuesday, Suleymanli will face Argentinian Faustino Oro. A total of 13 rounds are planned within the framework of the festival. The winner of the Challengers tournament will gain the right to compete in the Masters tournament, which will be held in Wijk aan Zee next year and will feature the world's leading chess players.
