The Michael Johnson vs. Alexander Hernandez fight at UFC 324 has been canceled due to suspicious betting activity. Sport24.az reports that UFC President Dana White announced at a press conference that the organization received information about suspicious elements from an agency that monitors the integrity of bets.
After that, the UFC leadership decided not to hold the fight.
"We got a call and we stopped the fight. I will not comment further on this topic," White said.
This is not the first incident related to suspicious betting activity in the UFC. About three months ago, the Isaac Dulgaryan vs. Yadier Del Valle fight also came to the fore for a similar reason. That fight was not canceled, but Dulgaryan, who was considered a clear favorite, lost. Later, the UFC terminated his contract.
