Taghi Nasibov Reaches U-23 European Championship Semifinals on His Birthday

Azerbaijani boxer Taghi Nasibov has reached the semi-finals of the U-23 European Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Sport24.az reports that the national team member, competing in the 60 kg weight category, was stronger than Gavin Ryan (Ireland) in the 1/4 finals.

 

He defeated his opponent with a score of 3:2 (28:29, 27:30, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). By qualifying for the semi-finals, Nasibov also gifted himself at least a bronze medal on his birthday.

 

Taghi will fight Bulgarian Radoslav Rosenov in the semi-finals on November 28.

 

It should be noted that 3 more of our boxers will compete in the 1/4 finals tomorrow.
