The traditional "Great Silk Road" international tournament continues in Baku. On the fourth day of the competition, the 1/4 final stage among male boxers and the 1/2 final stage among female boxers have ended.
Idman.Biz reports that 19 boxers of the Azerbaijani national team have advanced to the semi-finals in the men's competition, securing at least the third place for themselves.
Our world champion in the 50 kg weight category, Subhan Mammadov, defeated Australian Shipsi Lachlan with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the semi-finals. He will face Georgian Goga Topuria in the next stage. In the same weight category, Bilalhəbaşi Nazarov won early victory over his teammate Yusif Soltanov and will compete with Sahil Allahverdi (Georgia) in the semi-finals.

In the 60 kg weight category, Mahammadali Ashiraliyev defeated Umid Rustamov (3:2), and Mahammadali Gasimzade defeated Turkish Tolga Kaya (5:0). Gasimzade will face his teammate Tayfur Aliyev on the way to the final. In the 70 kg category, Sarkhan Aliyev's opponent, Oliver Wilson (Australia), did not enter the fight, so our representative directly advanced to the semi-finals.

In the women's national team, Gunel Rahimova (51 kg) and Emili Rzayeva (65 kg) finished the tournament with a bronze medal. The final fights of the female boxers will take place tomorrow.
It should be noted that the international tournament held at the Boxing Center with the participation of 10 countries will end on April 7.
