The traditional Great Silk Road international tournament among men and women boxers continues in Baku. On the third day of the competition, 8 boxers from the Azerbaijani national team qualified for the semifinals.
In the 65 kg category, Emili Rzayeva defeated Melissa Hamdani (Algeria) with a score of 3:2 (28:29, 29:28, 28:29, 29:28, 29:28). She will face Eve Bryson (Australia) in the semifinals.
Amin Mammadzadeh (55 kg) was stronger than Otabek Ismoilov – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). The national team member will fight Zidan Humbatov in the semifinal match, who defeated Mohamed Abbas (Algeria) with a score of 4:1 (30:26, 29:28, 28:29, 30:27, 30:27).

At 85 kg, Murad Allahverdiyev started the tournament with a victory. Our boxer defeated Yericho Dale (Australia) – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). Allahverdiyev will test Batyrbek Benkur (Kazakhstan) on the way to the final.
Our boxers who reached the semifinals have secured at least a bronze medal for themselves. This stage in the men's competition will end tomorrow.
