The final fights have started at the Boxing World Cup held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
Lent.az reports that Saidjamshid Jafarov was the first to enter the decisive match as part of the Azerbaijani national team.
Our boxer, competing in the 75 kg category, tested his strength against Tauan Silva (Brazil). Jafarov, who recorded all 3 rounds to his credit, eventually won with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27), won the gold medal of the World Cup and played the Azerbaijani anthem in Brazil.
It should be noted that Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) and Muhammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) will also compete in the final match at night. A day earlier, Nabi Iskandarov (70 kg) won a bronze medal.
