UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey has once again criticized the organization.
"MMA is in a tough spot right now; it’s the beginning of the great changes that are long overdue. I seriously believe the UFC suffers from a lack of competition. UFC has gotten too comfortable in their league’s dominance in the industry, just throwing offers to fighters and getting their answer of, 'take it or leave it, what else are you going to do?'
UFC used to be the best way to make money in fight sports. Now it’s turning into the worst place to make money in MMA. It used to be anti-system, but now it’s part of the system. And I’ve always been kind of an anti-establishment (laughs).
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a loyal company employee, and I’m very grateful for it, but I think the UFC lost its way completely after the management took the helm from Dana.
I think that they need to be reminded of the precariousness of their position and to start appreciating the fighters that make everything they do possible. I think that they’ve forgotten it, and I’m here to remind them," MMA Fighting quotes Rousey as saying.
