Former UFC champion Robert Whittaker has shared his expectations for the upcoming fight between Rafael Fiziev and Mauricio Rua.
According to Idman.Biz, the Fiziev-Rua fight will take place on the night of February 1 as part of "UFC 325".
Whittaker noted that Fiziev's defeat to Justin Gaethje now looks different after the American boxer's victory over Paddy Pimblett. He stated that Fiziev was extremely methodical in his last fight and gives the impression that he is at his peak throughout the year and is ready to enter the octagon even at short notice.

Whittaker also drew attention to Fiziev's vulnerability to long-range strikes from larger opponents. He believes that Rua may try this strategy. At the same time, the former champion emphasized that Fiziev has a great idea of when to defeat his opponent and is known for his consistency and endurance.
"Fiziev is a super stable fighter. He doesn't falter, doesn't slow down during the fight, and knows how to fight in different ways. I think Fiziev will win. I think he can beat Rua, especially in a three-round format," Whittaker said on his podcast.
