Another boxer from the Azerbaijani national team has qualified for the semifinals of the U-15 European Championship held in Budva, Montenegro.
Idman.Biz reports that Nasrin Abdullazade defeated Esila Yildirim (Turkey) in the 1/4 finals.
The national team member, competing in the 40 kg weight category, celebrated a 5:0 (29:28, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28) victory. By advancing to the semifinals, she has secured at least a bronze medal for herself.
Abdullazade will fight Elliemay Fetherston (Ireland) for a place in the final. The meeting will take place on October 23.
It should be noted that the European Championship, which is attended by 369 boxers from 32 countries, will end on October 25.
