Khabib Nurmagomedov, the 37-year-old UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC lightweight champion, has responded to accusations from Conor McGregor, the former UFC champion in the 66 and 70 kg weight divisions, regarding the sale of hats at an auction held on Telegram.
Idman.Biz reports that McGregor accused Khabib of lying and being hypocritical.
"You are a complete liar. You will always try to tarnish my name after being destroyed that night, but you will never succeed! Yes, good people don't do that. They don't create exclusive digital gifts with real value to share with friends and family. Gifts in the form of hats that symbolize the traditions and culture of the Dagestan people. Traditions and culture that are slowly entering this world, whether you like it or not! Gifts that can only be found on Telegram, the world's best messenger," Nurmagomedov wrote on social media.

Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion in the 66 and 70 kilogram weight classes, accused Russian athlete Khabib Nurmagomedov of deceiving and being hypocritical towards his fans after putting his hats up for auction in a digital NFT format on the Telegram messenger.
Idman.Biz reports that in a message shared on the X social network, the Irishman sharply criticized his former opponent's actions, claiming that he used his late father's name and Dagestan culture to make a quick profit.
"Can a good guy like Khabib deceive his fans by using his late father's name and Dagestan culture, quickly sell hats online at a digital NFT auction, delete all content after the sale, and leave his fans penniless and bankrupt? A good guy just can't do that," McGregor wrote.
The athletes in question have previously had one of the most talked-about fights in UFC history. Their rivalry continues to attract fans even years later.
