American Justin Gaethje, competing in the lightweight division, defeated Briton Paddy Pimblett in the main fight of the UFC 324 tournament in Las Vegas and won the interim championship belt.

Throughout the fight, the American athlete surpassed his opponent in the number of accurate strikes and was very close to ending the fight ahead of schedule several times.
Pimblett continued the fight to the end despite serious blows. As a result, the judges' decision was in favor of Justin Gaethje, and he won the interim lightweight title of the UFC. In the next fight, the American athlete is expected to face Ilia Topuria.
