France has changed the date of the G7 summit in Evian to avoid clashing with a UFC show scheduled to take place on the White House lawn on June 14.
İdman.Biz reports that this was reported by Politico, citing sources familiar with the planning of the event.
The G7 summit was originally scheduled for June 14-16. The new dates — June 15-17 — have already been published on the official G7 website. A spokesman for French President Emmanuel Macron's office said the schedule change was "the result of consultations with G7 partners," without confirming a direct connection to the fights.
"As the leader of the free world, it was important for President Trump to attend the G7 summit. Our partners graciously changed the dates to accommodate the US President's schedule," a White House spokesman told the publication.
It should be reminded that Trump announced plans in October 2025 to hold a "major UFC show" on the White House lawn on June 14. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that the event's logistics were being finalized and that up to 5,000 spectators could attend. Earlier it was reported that this show could host a record number of title fights.
