Participants of the "UFC Fight Night" tournament, which will be held in Baku, have already begun to give their first reactions regarding their upcoming performances in Azerbaijan.
Idman.Biz reports that the most noteworthy statement among the upcoming fights came from Michel Pereira, who will face Sharabutdin Magomedov on June 27. The Brazilian fighter addressed Azerbaijani fans on his social media account, emphasizing that he is coming to Baku not only to win but also to put on a memorable show.
"Baku, I'm coming! Let's put on a show for the fans in Azerbaijan on June 27!" - the Brazilian wrote on social media and added the tag "UFC Baku" to his post.
Charles Johnson also actively involved the fans in the process. The American, who will fight against Asu Almabayev, suggested that his followers predict how the match will end:
"Tell me now - how will everything end: early victory, judges' decision, or master class? If you guess right, maybe I can answer you," - Johnson noted.
Nursulton Ruziboev gave a short but emotional reaction. The Uzbek athlete, who will fight Andrey Pulyaev, wrote "June 27, Baku" in his post, adding the religious phrase "In Shaa Allah". Another participant of the tournament, Daniil Donchenko, announced the signing of the fight contract and wrote laconically: "See you in Baku."
A point of particular interest for local fans is the debut of Azerbaijani fighter Farman Hasanov. The UFC's European division officially welcomed him to the organization and announced that he would fight Erik Nolan at the tournament in Baku.
