UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria has won the first court case against his ex-partner Giorgina Uskategui (Badell) regarding the removal of their daughter from Spain.
According to the Spanish publication Marca, Idman.Biz reports that the court in Mostoles has not authorized Uskategui to take their one-and-a-half-year-old child out of the country. The court stated that the child is prohibited from leaving the country until the divorce process is finalized and a formal visitation schedule is established between Topuria and his daughter.
The court's decision also noted that the airline tickets were purchased by the child's mother 12 days before Topuria's statement, which caused public resonance. The judge concluded that this fact refutes the claim that the departure was forced due to pressure from social media.
Additionally, the case files state that despite attempts, Topuria has not been able to meet with his daughter for four months at the mother's initiative. A counterclaim has been filed against the fighter at the same time, but he has not yet been summoned to testify, and no restrictive measures have been taken against him.
Giorgina Badell, the partner of undefeated UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, accuses the fighter of threats and violence.
Earlier, Topuria stated that he rejects all accusations and has audio recordings, correspondence, and video evidence proving his innocence. The fighter also announced his intention to file a counterclaim against Badell for blackmail, falsification of evidence, and appropriation.
