Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has announced that he will not be participating in an event at the White House.
İdman.Biz reports that the UFC White House event will take place on June 14.
"I was offered a fight at the White House - the administration wanted me to fight too. My opponent was supposed to be Michael Chandler. We already have our date. Chandler is a worthy guy and a very exciting fighter in the cage. It would be incredible.
But at one point the plans changed. And it's not my fault. I didn't refuse, I didn't ask for more money. They just said, "maybe we'll put you on International Fight Week." I said, "okay, no problem." I agreed day after day. But the contract didn't come. That's the situation now," McGregor said.
Earlier reports indicated that the promoter would spend $60 million to organize the event.
