The boxers who will represent Azerbaijan at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, which will start on November 7 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have been determined. According to Sport24.az, 3 male and 4 female athletes will compete in the 15-day competition.
Head coach Ravshan Khojayev and coach Nariman Abdullayev will give a chance to Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Sarkhan Aliyev (70 kg) and Saidjamshid Jafarov (80 kg) at the Islamic Games.
The women's national team will be led by head coach Ilkin Agayev. Zeynab Rahimova (51 kg), Nargiz Zeynalova (54 kg), Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg) and Fatima Mehdiyeva (65 kg) will enter the ring in Riyadh.
It should be noted that boxing competitions at the Islamic Games will begin before the official opening ceremony. The fights, which will start on November 5, will end 5 days later.
