Azerbaijani karate fighters won 2 medals at the international tournament held in Batumi, Georgia. Sport24.az reports with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF) that a team of teenagers under the leadership of Allahverdi Rustamov, vice-president of AKF for contact styles, and head coach Anar Jafarov participated in the kyokushin karate competition.
Azerbaijan was represented by 11 athletes at the tournament. Kenan Hakimzade won a silver medal, and Muhammad Aliyev won a bronze medal. It should be noted that more than 450 athletes from 15 countries competed in the competition.
