Azerbaijani karate fighters won eight medals at the 32nd "SKDUN Shotokan Karate" World Championship and the 17th World Cup held in Bedzin, Poland.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the press service of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation that our representatives, competing in various age and weight categories, won two gold, two silver, and four bronze awards.
At the World Championship, Jalal Shukurov (10–11 years old, 40 kg) and Mehdi Abdullayev (10–11 years old, +40 kg) took 1st place, Alishan Azizov (18–20 years old, 70 kg), Aladdin Azizov (55–59 years old, Veteran Open) took 2nd place, and Zaki Jafarzade (18–20 years old, +80 kg), Heydar Feyziyev (12–13 years old, 58 kg) took third place. In the World Cup, Zaman Musayev (7–9 years old, 30 kg) and Murad Bayramov (7–9 years old, 30 kg) won bronze medals.
