The boxers who will represent Azerbaijan at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, which will start on November 7 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have been determined.
Idman.Biz reports that three male and four female athletes will compete in the 15-day competition.
Head coach Ravshan Khojayev and coach Nariman Abdullayev will give a chance to Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Sarkhan Aliyev (70 kg) and Saidjamshid Jafarov (80 kg) at the Islamic Games.
The women's national team will be led by head coach Ilkin Agayev. Zeynəb Rahimova (51 kg), Nargiz Zeynalova (54 kg), Aynur Mikayılova (57 kg) and Fatima Mehdiyeva (65 kg) will enter the ring in Riyadh.
It should be noted that the boxing competitions at the Islamic Games will start before the official opening ceremony. The fights, which will start on November 5, will end five days later.
