Two-time UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has signed a new eight-fight deal with the organization, making him the highest-paid fighter in the league.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to talkSPORT.
The terms of the contract significantly exceed the Brazilian boxer's previous budget, increasing his earnings from $5 million to $6 million per fight. The 38-year-old boxer confirmed the signing of the contract, noting that the management "took very good care of him."
Pereira's first fight under the new contract will be against Cyril Gane for the interim heavyweight title. The fight is scheduled for June 14 in Washington, D.C., at the White House at "UFC Freedom 250."
