Russian basketball club "Zenit" has parted ways with head coach Xavi Pascual. Sport24.az reports that the St. Petersburg representative has released information about this.
Under the leadership of the Spanish specialist, "Zenit" won the historic Russian champion title in the 2021/2022 season, ending CSKA's hegemony. In addition, the team has won the national Super Cup twice under his leadership. Last season, the St. Petersburg team lost to the military in the final.
It should be noted that Pascual has been working for Zenit since 2020. He has also previously worked at Barcelona and Panathinaikos.
