A 54-year-old worker has died during the repair work at the Camp Nou stadium.

Despite the participation of thousands of workers in the construction, this is the first death incident since the start of renovation work in June 2023. According to the information of the Catalan police (Mossos d'Esquadra), the 54-year-old man fell from a height while working at the stadium. Emergency medical help arrived at the scene, but they were unable to save his life.
Earlier, Barcelona president Joan Laporta announced that the construction of the renovated stadium would be completed by 2028.
The repair work at Camp Nou started in June 2023.
