The FIBA Disciplinary Commission has banned Ukrainian basketball players Oleksandr Kolchenko and Serhiy Pryimak for life.
According to Idman.Biz, the athletes were found guilty of fixing match results, betting on basketball competitions, and concealing known corruption.
FIBA's investigation revealed that the players were involved in violations during matches between the Philippines' Naic Aces and Singapore's Adroit teams in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This included two games of the Champions League East Asia tournament in May 2025.
After reviewing the case, both players received the same punishment - a lifetime ban from participating as players in any FIBA-approved event, as well as from performing any other functions in tournaments recognized by the organization.
The sanctions also apply to competitions held in Ukraine, including amateur tournaments.
