"Sumqayıt" basketball team has added two foreign players to its roster.
İdman.Biz, citing AZƏRTAC, reports that the representative of the "youth city" has formalized the transfer of American basketball players – Teyvion Kirk and Cakori Arçi.
A one‑year contract has been signed with the players.
Teyvion Kirk and Cakori Arçi are familiar faces in Azerbaijani basketball. They previously played for "Xırdalan" (now "LANDAU Lions").
It should be noted that Kirk scored 45 points and delivered 10 productive assists in the April 2024 game against "Neftçi", which ended 114–109. Arçi was also one of the team’s main leaders. He scored 35 points against "Sərhədçi" and in the final round of the regular season posted a double‑double with 25 points and 18 rebounds.
